Instructions On How To Create Print Ready Files for Ultimate Image Printing
Important Note: Make Sure There Are No Spaces In The File Name. The File Will Not Properly Upload to Our FTP!
Here is a quick guide on how to set your files up to send to print to Ultimate Image Printing. If you need further assistance, have any questions, or need a quote or scheduling, please contact our art department at (714) 444-4050.
Image Resolution and File Size
Minimum Specs (300 dpi printing)
• Build your file 1/4 size of final output size at 400 dpi in RGB
Example: 24 x 35 poster 6 x 9 @ 400 dpi
• For best color save PhotoShop files as .eps
Maximum Specs (600 dpi printing)
• Build your file 1/2 size of final output size at 400 dpi in RGB
Example: 24 x 36 poster
• 12 x 18 @400 dpi
• For best color save PhotoShop files as .eps
How to Set Up Vector Art
• To utilize our best color matching, provide all vector art in an Adobe Illustrator file.
• If you prefer Corel Draw or Freehand, please export artwork as an eps with all text
converted to outlines or curves.
• For best spot color matching, provide all vector art as pantone coated colors (CVC). This will produce a truer spot match than the equivalent CMYK breakdown.
General Information
• Be sure to include all fonts, printer and screen fonts.
• Indicate on proof if you want spot and or process colors to match.
Tips and Tricks.
• Create all gradients in Adobe Photoshop. Add 4 pixels of noise to reduce or prevent banding.
• Build blacks as a rich black 10% Cyan 100% Black.

• Microsoft Word / Publisher / Excel / Adobe Pagemaker / Corel Draw / InDesign / Acrobat
• Output direct from these programs is quoted on a per job basis.
• A proof must be signed-off on prior to printing.
Color Matching
• We match to calibrated industry standards unless otherwise instructed.
• We do offer proofing prior to printing.
• Color copy proofs, iris proofs, and reduced 4 color inkjet proofs are available.
(4 color inkjet proofs will be on the same material as your final output)
Finishing
• A job is not done until it is finished.
• At Ultimate Image Printing we offer a wide variety of in-house mounting, and laminating.
